Keanno Lawrence Fausto is a Filipino-American filmmaker from Guam dedicated to telling local stories that often go unseen on screen. His debut short film, “Left on Read” (2019), won “Best Made in the Marianas” at the 2019 Guam International Film Festival. Keanno wrote and directed the documentary “Haven” (2020), which chronicles the journey of Guam’s first openly transgender senatorial candidate. The film earned an “Award of Excellence” at the 2021 Broadcast Education Association Festival of Media Arts. In addition to these accomplishments, Keanno co-wrote “Zero Down” (2021), a documentary that examines the contrast between the island’s low-income housing community and the tourism industry, delving into themes of social injustice and economic disparity.

Currently, Keanno serves as the Communications Coordinator for NASA Guam Space Grant at the University of Guam, where he promotes STEM education and outreach to local students. In this role, he directs social media and website management, produces graphic design and video content, and coordinates the UOG Drone Corps program.

Through his work in film and education, Keanno is dedicated to inspiring positive change and uplifting the voices of marginalized communities within the island. When he is not filmmaking, he enjoys graphic designing, freelancing as a photographer, and spending time with his family. Keanno’s ultimate goal is to continue his career as a director, focusing on enriching the cultural tapestry of Guam and beyond through compelling storytelling.
